In a multi-institutional effort, the Miami CTSI, Baptist Health South Florida and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center partnered to host the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) South Florida Regional Chapter Meeting on the topic of “AI Perspectives in Clinical Research.”

Guest speakers included:

  • Dr. Kenneth W. Goodman, Director of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy as well as the University’s Ethics Programs
  • Dr. Eduardo Martinez-DuBouchet, Medical Director of Acute Telehealth Services, eICU, Transfer Center, Baptist Health South Florida
  • Dr. Jean Jose, DO, Associate Vice Chair Informatics/Artificial Intelligence, Radiology Department, University of Miami

Clinical research professionals from across several organizations attended this hybrid session on November 8 at the CTSI’s Training Center as well as on Zoom.  This topic generated much interest, and the perspectives contributed to a lively Q&A session with both audiences. More than 115 people attended overall.

Those that attended, please be sure to complete the post-event survey. This will help us in the development of future seminars for clinical research professionals. If you attended and are claiming CEUs and have questions about your certificate, please contact Mr. Draco Forte, of Baptist Health South Florida, by email at [email protected].
