The Miami CTSI has named three new scholars to its Mentored Research Career Development Program Awards in Clinical and Translational Science (K12). These awardees mark the inaugural cohort of the CTSI’s five-year K12 grant awarded by the NIH last fall.

On the heels of the Miami CTSI’s recent seven-year Clinical and Translational Science UM1 Award, comes an additional K12 award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to support its career development program for faculty scholars in clinical and translational science research.
Miami CTSI KL2 and Master's Program graduate Lunthita Duthely Ed.D., MS, has spent more than 25 years at the University of Miami in roles driven by her passion to make a positive impact for women with HIV. With several new research projects underway, the Research Assistant Professor in the departments of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences and Public Health Sciences is pushing forward a path to better treatment adherence for women with HIV in Miami.
