Clinical Research Professionals Reach New Heights

The Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) designation of “Certified Clinical Research Professional” or “CCRP® ” is used for individuals recognized by the research community for their knowledge, education, and experience as clinical research professionals.

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Clinical Research Services (CRS) and the Miami CTSI joined forces to offer the SOCRA Prep Course and Exam on campus.  This two-day educational and certification opportunity took place on June 15 and 16.  Dr. Elissa Dawkins, Sr. Project Manager, CRS Education and Training, and her team at CRS secured SOCRA’s commitment to designate the CTSI Training Center as a site for this important event.

Offering the prep course and exam on-campus at the University of Miami garnered great interest, demonstrated by the successful registration and participation of UM’s clinical research professionals (CRPs).

Overall, the SOCRA event was a success, and CRPs demonstrated their intent to reach for new professional heights. The Miami CTSI looks forward to this continued collaboration.
