Russell Saltzman, MSPH, CCRC

Russell Saltzman, MSPH, CCRC, is a Sr. Regulatory Analyst with the Miller School of Medicine Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute (ISCI) and a member since 2020 of the CTSI Research Advocacy and Quality Champions Group. Russell recently attended The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) 2026 conference held in Orlando, Fla., in April with support of a continuing education grant offered by the ACRP.  

Following the program, Russell compiled key session highlights and takeaways and shared his perspective on navigating the grant application process, providing valuable guidance for fellow university clinical research professionals. 

This year’s conference focused on AI in clinical trials, evolving regulatory insights, and patient-centered trial design. Across sessions, one theme was clear: clinical research is undergoing rapid transformation, and success depends on how well CRPs can adapt.
