Wastewater provides early detection of COVID-19


A team of researchers representing all campuses at the University of Miami are hoping to prevent coronavirus outbreaks on campus before they begin by monitoring wastewater. One of the techniques developed to accelerate the virus detection process was funded in part by the Miami CTSI.

Post-Doc Associate’s Work Highlighted at AHA Basic Cardiovascular Conference


Working in the lab of Lina Shehadeh, Ph.D., FAHA, Research Professor in the Division of Cardiology and Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute (ISCI), Post-Doctoral Research Associate, Monique Monelle Williams, M.D., recently presented her research to the cardiovascular scientific community at the 2021 American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiovascular Sciences Scientific Session.
