April 28: CTSI Translational Tuesdays Cell Therapies for COVID19


Join us April 28 at 4 p.m., for a virtual presentation and Q&A with Dr. Joshua Hare, Dr. Camillo Ricordi and Dr. Shari Messinger Cayetano. Both Dr. Hare and Dr. Ricordi are working on national and international efforts to test the efficacy of using umbilical cord and bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells to treat SARS-CoV-2 syndromes.

April 14: CTSI Translational Tuesday - Measuring Community Spread


Please join us for an online presentation and Q&A with Dr. Erin Kobetz and Dr. Natasha Schaefer Solle, who will discuss a new testing effort in collaboration with Miami-Dade County to assess the prevalence of COVID-19 infection in the local community. The initiative, which is one of the first in the country, is known as Surveillance Program Assessing Risk and Knowledge of Coronavirus or SPARKC, and will help drive local and global solutions to the crisis.
