CTSI Names 4 New KL2 Scholars and Awards Pilot Grants to 10 UM Faculty

To kick off the renewal of its prestigious five-year award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Miami CTSI has awarded four Mentored Translational Research Scholars Program Awards (KL2) and Pilot Project Awards to a diverse group of 10 faculty from disciplines across the University of Miami.

CTSI Associate Director and Jackson Team Recognized as Outstanding REPRIEVE Trial Site

The leadership of the Randomized Trial to Prevent Vascular Events in HIV (REPRIEVE) recently highlighted the outstanding performance of its trial team at Jackson Memorial Hospital led by investigators, Dushyantha T. Jayaweera, M.D., Associate Director of the Miami CTSI and Director of its Recruitment and Trial Operations Programs, Senior Associate Dean for Research and professor of clinical medicine; and Jose G. Castro, M.D., professor of clinical medicine, division of infectious disease.

CTSA Funded ResearchMatch Recruitment Website Launches in Spanish

ResearchMatch, a national online recruitment tool that matches people interested in research with investigators throughout the country, now offers its website in Spanish. Spanish speakers can sign up in Spanish to be volunteers, while investigators from the University of Miami can connect with and recruit them for their studies.
