Mentoring Workshop for HIV and Cancer Researchers

On January 16 & 17, 2018, the Miami Clinical & Translational Science Institute, the Miami Center for AIDS Research(CFAR), and the Sylvester Cancer Center(SCCC) is hosting a workshop on ‘Building the Next generation of HIV & Cancer Researchers’. This intensive and interactive workshop is designed to provide HIV and Cancer investigators in clinical, translational, population and basic science, with the tools for more effective mentoring.

SCHEDULE:

  • January 16, 2018 – Full Day at UM Coral Gables Campus
  • January 17, 2018 – Half Day at UM Medical Campus

The Miami CFAR and the SCCC strongly encourage the following to participate:

  • Faculty who mentor HIV and Cancer researchers
  • Recipients of CFAR, state awards, or SCCC funding

The workshop will be collaboratively facilitated by the Miami CFAR, The Campbell Foundation, UCSF CFAR, and the SCCC mentoring programs. Participants are expected to attend the full workshop.
