Community Health Worker Training Project Facilitates Certifications, Pilots Training Tookit

Since 2015 the University of Miami, led by Miami CTSI Program Director Olveen Carrasquillo, M.D., and manager and co-president of the Florida Community Health Worker Coalition, Brendaly Rodriguez, along with the Health Council of South Florida, have developed and piloted a structured research training program in patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) for community health workers. As a result, hundreds have been trained and certified in Florida and other states around the country.
