Grant Writing Workshop

Registration is now open for this intermediate-level workshop designed to provide practical, step-by-step guidance on writing NIH R- or K-style grants. Led by Mary Lou King, Ph.D., professor of Cell Biology, it is intended for those ready to write a grant with preliminary data, in the process of writing a grant or resubmitting a grant. All critical aspects of grant writing are covered, including the NIH review process, how grants are scored, writing clear and concise Specific Aims, Significance and Innovation statements, biographical sketch, designing powerful titles, and much more.

Weekly Office Hours by Appointment
The University of Miami’s Writing Center will now offer research writing support to Miller School faculty researchers, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students during office hours at the Miami CTSI suite 710 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Writing consultants can assist with grant writing and editing, scholarly manuscript preparation and editing, presentations, applications and clear and concise scientific writing.
